Finished!!!

Finished, I do believe and with not much time too spare. I have to say I enjoyed creating the blog, choosing a template, colors, downing loading or was that uploading images, etc. I do like learning all the new terms and knowing what is out there. It is amazing how may different sites are available for doing almost anything. I could have used more time, but then I probably would have still been behind. Yes, I would be willing to do another discovery program.

Face-to-Face Space

I'm not into e-mailing people, so I do not perceive my doing Face-to-Face, what an odd term when that is not what you are not doing! Give me the telephone or a cup of coffee at the kitchen table with friends and family. Use in library settings, I again leave that to those with more knowledge and interest.

Podcasts

I found "Books" on NPR and listened to Alan Alda being interviewed about his new book. Also, listened to some music and almost forgot to get back to work. I have to admit I found it a lot more entertaining than I thought I would.

Video

I thought viewing the campus through a new set of eyes, reminded me what a beautiful campus we have. Seeing it everyday one tends to forget.

Web 2.0 Tools

I checked out various subjects that were of interest. Useful, I'm not sure. I found them interesting and fun to play around with, as for applications for use in a library setting, I'll leave that for someone with more knowledge and interest.

Zoho Writer

I checked out Zoho and its features. Given more time, I think I would find uses for the templates and spreadsheets for both work and home.

Wiki

I found Book Lovers Wiki interesting, as I love to read. I also found SJCPL subject guide useful in locating books with special subjects.
A use for SJCPL subject guide would be helping students locate information for papers and for your own special interests.
